Explore Relationships Among Organisms Through Scientific Research

Students will expand their knowledge of coral reef ecosystems (including symbiosis, producers and consumers, energy and matter, photosynthesis, and respiration).
Students will think logically think about questions asked by MCR LTER researchers.
Students will develop hypotheses and experimental procedures to test MRC LTER questions.

This unit includes three inquiry-based activities, developed by a 7th grade teacher at the University Laboratory School in Honolulu, HI. Activities were developed with support from the Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Program and the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Program of the National Science Foundation (NSF).
