LTER Network US LTER Network
The US Long Term Ecological Research Network is a collaborative effort involving more than 1100 scientists and students investigating ecological processes over long temporal and broad spatial scales. For more information, click here.

ILTER ILTER Network
The International Long Term Ecological Research Network is a global network of research sites whose focus is long-term ecological studies to investigate processes operating at long time scales and over broad spatial scales. For more information, click here.

Gump Richard B. Gump South Pacific Research Station
International scientists and students are invited to carry out programs at the University of California Berkeley's Richard B. Gump South Pacific Research Station. While the focus of the Gump Station is field-based scientific research and advanced training, activities in all academic disciplines are welcome. Research spans levels of biocultural organization, from genetics and molecular biology, through organismal and population biology, to anthropology, economics, and social sciences. Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation’s science-based, results-driven orientation stems from the principles and interests of Gordon and Betty Moore. The Foundation operates proactively in three specific areas of focus—environmental conservation, science, and the San Francisco Bay Area—where a significant and measurable impact can be achieved. Coastal Research Center Coastal Research Center
The Coastal Research Center of the Marine Science Institute, UCSB, facilitates research and research training that fosters a greater understanding of the causes and consequences of dynamics within and among coastal marine ecosystems. An explicit focus involves the application of innovative but basic research to help resolve coastal environmental issues. For more information, click here.

SBC Santa Barbara Coastal LTER
The primary research objective of the Santa Barbara Coastal LTER is to investigate the relative importance of land and ocean processes in structuring giant kelp forest ecosystems. For more information, click here.

NTL North Temperate Lakes LTER
The North Temperate Lakes Long Term Ecological Research program studies the ecology of lakes. They are interested in how biophysical setting, climate, and changing land use and cover interact to shape lake characteristics and dynamics over time (past, present, future). For more information, click here.

TERN Taiwan Ecological Research Network
The principal objective of the TERN program is to understand long-term ecological phenomena and processes within Taiwan's dominant ecosystems. TERN's major concern is to gather baseline data on the productivity, diversity, structure, and function/process of Taiwan's major ecological systems. The program focuses on the long-term impacts of major disturbances (such as natural erosion, typhoon, monsoon, pollution and land use, etc.) at the research sites.
